For Teri, animals have always been a way of life. Growing up with horses, a pack of 20 beagles, and a flock of over 100 pigeons, she learned early on the joy of caring for animals. After building a successful career and raising her family, Teri returned to her true passion: the horse community. Her experience rehoming horses for the Atlanta Mounted Patrol opened her eyes to the need for a safe refuge, and Breezy Meadow Horse Rescue was born. Teri and her husband Steve started Breezy Meadow has their dream, passion project. Steve passed 3 years ago and Teri is making sure his legacy, their legacy carries on for the both of them.Teri’s unwavering love for animals is the heartbeat of this sanctuary, providing her with a profound sense of peace and spiritual fulfillment.
Teri is supported by family and friends. Many of whom give of their time and knowledge. Everyone pitches in when things get hard or busy or for large projects when many hands are needed. They are also around to help celebrate rescue milestones and to celebrate everyone who pitches in at Breezy Meadow.
